Representative Bob Morris (R-Fort Wayne) of the Indiana House of Representatives believes that the Girl Scouts of America (and its worldwide partner) is a radicalized, pro-abortion, tactical arm of Planned Parenthood that "promotes homosexual lifestyles" and counts communists among its role models.

"After talking to some well-informed constituents, I did a small amount of web-based research, and what I found is disturbing," he wrote to his fellow Indiana House Republicans, explaining his refusal to sign a nonbinding resolution to honor the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts.

Trust a TBper to make his mark in legislation by refusing to honor a group like the GSA. And why? It's because his online research, and rumors he's heard (and believed) tells him that they are a pro-abortion indoctrination front and their role models are "lesbian, communist or feminist." (What? Aren't there any that are all three? He could have a real snit over that.) And what is his source? World Nut Daily and the unfounded innuendos of some of his flan-brained constituents. (Impeccable research, right? Not!) We can ignore that GSA is quite a bit older than Planned Parenthood and that the huge preponderence of pedophile scout leaders are men molesting Cub and Boy Scouts. To this twit, the crap he's swallowed about GSA is designed to exclude facts or comparisons. Wonder if he'll snub BSA on their next anniversary . . .

Is it not true that the BSA & GS have some Religious backing ..

Most BSA troops I know of, including the one I was in, are based in and sponsored by, churches. BSA, in fact, has tended to be toffee-nosed about professed atheists even joining their organization. Good point, Par.

So.. it would suffice to say... that this idiot doesn't know what he is talking about (which is obvious).. and he is in essence saying the religious back group promotes gay tendencies in young men .. at least that is what I am reading from it...

How many POTUS were Eagle Scouts?

How many of our leaders today were Boy or Girl scouts?

I can say it did an amazing thing for my own daughter... it gave her a great sense of self worth and self sufficiency. She also has life long friends from her girl scout troop. They still get together once or twice a year to catch up.

If that is a bad agenda, then I'd like to know what this idiot feels is a good one.

Goose-steppping to "Onward Christian [sic] Soldiers".

That's the best way of putting it I've seen, and also the scariest. May I use that as a quote elsewhere?

Anyone else remember the battle the BSA took on regarding homosexual troop leaders about 10 or 15 years ago? They took a downright homophobic stance on the whole thing. And talk about "a little child shall lead them" - but it was a straight member of a troop whose leader was dismissed who mounted a protest followed by a suit against the organization. Now, that's the BSA and I don't know much about the stands taken by the GSA during this time. But this partial bit of evidence does suggest that Morris didn't do much to vet his facts before he decided to take a stand that clearly casts him as an uninformed dolt.

Shebow - and the more annoying and laughable is his determination to remain hoodwinked.

Feminists? Man or woman, if you are not a feminist today you are allowing the right to return us to historic levels of patriarchy with all its trimmings.

Yet more nonsense to discredit a fine organization for young girls and women while not acknowledging that the pedophiles worked their crimes on Boy Scouts. Republicans have serious gender and sex issues.

This guy is slinging a load of horse manure. My wife has to field calls every week on this stupid lie. We are sick of these folks lying about a great organization, Remember, 2012 is The Year of The Girl, celebrate with the Girl Scouts and buy a truck load of cookies from them.

as i said on another article about this:

the picture of him looks like the 'good boy' who climbs a collage-campus tower to greet his fellow students with a scoped-rifle!!!

i have also said, more times than i can remember, these past three-plus years have been the most surreal years in all of my 57 YEARS, on God's Green Earth...i do not look THAT forward to the near future (or they far future, it it is going to resemble the present) !!!

    luv,

    ron

Our best and brightest obviously aren't going into politics. It's frightening to hear this guy has daughters - they're sure to be brainwash victims.

What an idiot scumbag. Probably while he was online doing research he checked out some porn and twittered pictures of his wiener to interns.

Even more troublesome than asking what is this guy thinking is asking what were the voters thinking. Wake up before you get woke up back in the dark ages.
