Speaker John Boehner says that the House will try again to tie approval for the Keystone pipeline project to a new jobs bill being introduced next week.
“All options are on the table. If it’s not enacted before we take up the American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs Act, it’ll be part of it,” Boehner said of the Keystone project, which would extend an oil pipeline from Canada through the United States.

“All options are on the table. If it’s not enacted before we take up the American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs Act, it’ll be part of it,” Boehner said of the Keystone project, which would extend an oil pipeline from Canada through the United States.
Boehner led an unsuccessful effort to attach approval of the Keystone project to the extension of the payroll tax cut in December, but had to back down after not securing Senate support.

Mr. Speaker: feel free to put the Pipeline to a vote... by itself. Let if stand or fall by itself. And let the jobs bill stand or fall by itself. STOP playing your silly little games with the welfare of American citizens.

He should first make public how much money he will personally make when the deal gets made.

House Will Likely Attach Keystone Approval to New Jobs Bill
Likely.... Hell count on it!
Just like demanding extension of the Bush tax cuts when American unemployment insurance hung in the balance.
Hostage taking 101 employed by the GOP. SSDD!

More hostage taking by the Republicans? If Keystone can't stand alone, let it fall. Is this yet another version of Too Big to fail....

Too bad President Obama refuses to extend a hand to the Republicans. Too bad the Democrats refuse to work in a by-partisan manner. Else, this kind of political extortion would not be required. Extend tax cuts for the wealthy or we'll kill your bill. Approve the pipeline or we'll kill your bill. Keep refusing the Republican demands or we'll block any bill that will help millions of Americans who are hurting, now. God Bless America and a plague on all who disagree with the neoconservatives should be their election campaign slogan.
The jobs you speak of will be done once the project is completed.. the oil isn't going to be used in the U.S.. it is being shipped out of country.

This is not surprising because the GOP congressman and women hold the American people as hostages everytime a bill comes up. It is all about their corporate buddies and their pockets that their buddies line with money. The GOP is going to play this game for another year. We will be held hostage because the dumb a---ss American people put these GOP and tea party people in office. I guess many people love to see these people get rich at their expense.

fantastic idea, make obama take a second stand against jobs, this time both pipeline jobs and infrastructure jobs
After being snubbed a number of times by the GOP on things like the grand bargains, as they were called by the media, which it might be pointed out, had 95% of the things republicans have cried and whined about for the previous two years, and had his hand slapped away by them, it's just silly and stupid to believe that the president should look at ANY GOP proposal in good faith.
I'm sure he will, in all fairness, though this country is more than a little disgusted at wanting to accomodate GOP obstructionism by granting them anything. After all, an adult doesn't reward a petulant, spoiled child with appeasement, especially knowing that that appeasement will NEVER be appreciated.
Boehner stands to make a nice, tidy sum from the KXL. One look at his stock holdings tells the tale there. His insistence on attaching it to existing legislation is just more hostage-taking, and it won't help this current GOP primary clownshow. Somehow, I don't think Bonehead gives a s**t. The money he stands to make is the only driver of his actions. It's all too clear the GOP don't give a damn about jobs. Never have. The KXL won't produce near the number of jobs purported, yet that's all the GOP can talk about. Add to that, the oil produced won't even be used here, but that's something you WON'T hear.
So while the GOP clownshow talks about social issues, which the American people don't really care about (one doesn't care about those if one is more concerned about paying bills or putting food on the table, after all), what they WILL listen to, is someone who can identify with their pain, and is at least trying to tackle those problems, instead of yammering on about issues they couldn't care less about. And there's only one person doing that right now, and he isn't a republican.
