Most of us don't think twice about taking a nonprescription pain reliever to ease a headache or soreness that might follow a game of tennis, but there is growing evidence that commonly used painkillers such as Advil can trigger heart attacks or strokes in some people.

Most certainly... I try not to take medicine unless I really need it ..only heart related meds and vitamins I take.

I think the key word phrase is "in some people". I don't know how you can figure out for whom it would be safe, but elderly people need relief from pain, too. So, I hope they figure this out.

    Personally, and as chronic pain goober, I believe Vicodin, excluding the acetaminophen, should be in Pez containers at the local Zippy Mart.
