The majority of these states are red states. They are soon to get fatter because "they don't want big government telling them what to eat . Most of the people are poor in these states and in economically depressed areas so pasta is pretty cheap and is what most people are living on today who cannot afford to stay healthy.
exercise... is really cheap... does not cost anything to do them.. except the time it takes to get off the chair/couch.. put down the bon-bons.. and move the arse around....
not when you are in an unsafe neighborhood. I know of mothers who keep their children locked up in their house for fear of the neighborhood they live in. And if there is sweltering heat and humidity you are not going to find anyone going outside for a jog around the block. Nor do these people have money for a gym membership or fresh fruit and vegetables that spoil in a moments notice. Also to feed a family of four and the recommended vegetables, your refrigerator does not even hold enough space for these nutritional requirements.
Obesity is much more complex than just getting off the couch and putting down the bon-bons.
There are a million or more excuses.. but only one way to lose weight.. Watch what one eats.. how much one eats... exercise...
