WASHINGTON, May 17 (UPI) -- GOP U.S. presidential hopeful Rick Santorum said Tuesday John McCain, tortured as a prisoner of war, "doesn't understand how enhanced interrogation works."

McCain aide Mark Salter responded on Facebook, saying, "For pure, blind stupidity, nobody beats Santorum. In my 20 years in the Senate, I never met a dumber member, which he reminded me of today," MSNBC reported.

For Santorum to make such a stupid statement in re: to Senator McCain proves he is just a big mouth wanting attention like a small child in a group of children. By making this type of statement he is proving his ignorance of torture and what it means. After all, McCain came back crippled from his experience and he, contrary to Santorum's statement, should know about torture. It is so sad that we must put up with such people in Congress. Perhaps we should use a litmus test for all those wanting to be a part of Congress.

There is one.. but it is a flop too.. because many people out there still do not know their arse from their elbow when voting for a person... Uneducated fools.. vote foolishly.. and follow whatever candidate it is.. because of what they say 'Now', instead of investigating the person to where one would be satisfied with having them in congress. What a person says or does Now.. is not what a person should vote for.. they should consider the whole of the parts, not some of the parts.
