Most people who get the bug are elderly patients living in nursing homes.

TORRANCE (KTLA) -- A deadly bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics is appearing in local nursing homes and hospitals, health officials say.

The superbug is known as carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumonia (CRKP), and it cannot be treated with any existing antibiotics.
