Area police continued their search Sunday afternoon for a man in handcuffs who stole a Dallas patrol car while he was in custody in Dallas and then abandoned it in Arlington.

Once they arrived, Dallas police found Huffer in the apartment complex, took him into custody and placed him handcuffed and alone in the back seat of a Dallas patrol car.

A Dallas police news release indicated that the man was able to move his arms in front of him, get to the front seat of the car and drove off as officers stood nearby.
