Nadya Suleman is planning to hold a yard sale and online auction at her Madonna Lane home in La Habra Saturday morning, selling items like the bikini she wore on the cover of tabloid magazines and an autographed nursing bra.

"We're going to be barbecuing for everyone," he added. Suleman and the kids will be there and pose for photos with people. "Everybody's gonna get a picture with Nadya," he said. "It's a family day, not a day to focus on the mistakes Nadya made.

#3 - Sat Sep 25, 2010 1:55 PM EDTI have sat through thousands of minors compensation cases in San Diego and watched some parents request funds for themselves and the judge would deny them. At the podium some parents would go irate. Scream at the judge because THEY needed new clothes for parent teacher meetings and doctor appointments. I guess those parents would think the judge a " Hater" for not thinking like them. Those people just didn't get it and probably never will. Thank God someone had the sense to protect those children or they would have had nothing. Nadya reminds me of those parents. I just hope someday someone will have something set up like that for them. That way if Nadya squanders all HER money she could go to the courts to get money for food for the kids. BTW you don't need an attorney for this it is easy to do "pro per"

A system that will allow women to have a child get on food stamps.. and welfare... then spit out another kid to get more welfare and food stamps.. sec 8 housing..etc.. is a broken system and too lenient..and then allowing them to stay on it indefinitely... has to be changed...

Everything that NS has done from the beginning of her so called back injury to this day, is a scary view of how our system is broken in so many ways. Not just welfare either. I agree she should have never had 1 child. NS has not been held accountable for any of her actions. There are so many loop holes and the people that use the system KNOW that, and use it. I keep waiting for someone to start the octo bill. Where maybe there is background checks and limits set on IVF etc. I know that would anger alot of couples trying to have kids but as they say" one bad apple".
I am a CA native but left a few years back. My parents who still live out in CA live on a road [about 3miles long], it use to be all family homes . They tore down all the homes on one side of the road and built section 8 apartments. They tried to do emmanent domain with the homes on the other side but the families got together and won that fight. The welfare users were more important than the hard working home owners. They actually tried to force people out of their homes so they could build welfare apartments. Yes , it has to be changed and I can only imagine what the world will be like in another 5yrs if things don't change. It is something I don't like to even think about.
Nadya has told us out of her own mouth how she used student loans , welfare , workmans comp. , disability all these things for not the purpose they were intended. Putting the car and house all in other peoples names. Having a corporation. It is called hiding assests and why on earth this fraud can not be stopped is beyond me.

They(state/local) governments need to crack down on Welfare and Workman's Comp claims.. right now in Massachusetts.. particularly one case that involves a woman ex-cop who supposedly got hurt on the job.. the state is investigating her now.. but she is a swimming instructor and a couple of other things she does while collecting money from the state.. It took a news station's investigation team to find this out...
If one takes 5 cases each a day (social workers)...and screened these people.. forcing them to tell the state who the father is.. and if they(mother) doesn't tell who he is.. then they are penalized by losing the kids... We are paying already for the kids.. so might as well take them.. kick the mother off the money.. Many of these mothers use the money for their drug habits too.. and within the sec 8 housing they live like their in squalor doing nothing for the kids until they are alerted that a social worker is coming .. then everything is nice nice.. same with the father of the kids lives in the same place but nothing around to give it away that he does.. get rid of this crap that says they must notify the person before the social worker knocks at the door.. They are getting paid by the state to keep the kids out of harms way.. that is what the money is for.. not for the people to take advantage of the system.
I know what you mean by tearing down homes to make way for Sec 8 housing.. they did that in my town... forcing people out by raising property taxes on the elderly to build new schools forcing them out into homes .. that we now have to pay for instead of them living and supporting themselves.. they built 150 units behind a shopping area.. and it looks like the pictures one would see from WWII.. run down.. junk in the yards, and the police there 5-6 times a day (at least).. drugs, prostitution..
