California is experiencing the largest increase, and is reportedly on the verge of breaking a 55-year record for the number of cases. About nine infants have died in California from whooping cough, and about 4,017 cases have been confirmed in the state, according to various news sources.

Also a testament to those who do not vaccinate their children .. also a testament to those who come here into the United States.. that did not get their shots.. yet wait until something really serious happens.. leaving no choice but to be treated.. most often very late as to protect others around them. Many parents do not vaccinate their kids.. because they are uncertain towards it.

In my district school kids have to have proof of vaccination before they can start school.

Do you know how easy it is for me as a one time parent to young kids to have a doctor just write that they did get the shot, yet they did not?

It is so easy to get a note from a doctor..

I use to get notes from a doctor for Strep throat.. and I did not have strep... just to get out of school for a week..when I was in high school.. my sister did it for the imaginary headaches..

A guy about 30 years ago let me in on a secret for him.. he paid a doctor $200.00 to get a note from him saying he hurt himself on the job.. then the guy filed for Workman's comp.. but to his dismay.. I wasn't very pleased by what he did.. so I turned him in...

My doctor certainly wouldn't be a part of such chicanery. Any doctor that would should be prosecuted.
