I have mixed feelings about this one. The New York Times reported yesterday that efforts to restrict advertising of unhealthy foods on kids programs (Saturday morning, Nickelodeon) is hitting a snag due to (surprise) industry opposition.

We can't hide this stuff from our kids - we have to teach them what's good and what's not and teach them healthy eating habits. Banning advertising, happy meal toys, and other initiatives strike me as the kiddie equivilant of abstinence-only education - it's still gonna be out there but your kid just won't be educated or prepared to deal with it.

Justme - Hey!

You are absolutely right.. People have to take "Responsibility".. yes.. that rare/unique thing that many do.. yet many do not... Parents need to take responsibility for their children.. otherwise they should not have any..
