Some People Can't Stomach the New 3-D Movies Ills triggered by films may suggest the need for an eye exam

The new crop of 3-D movies hitting theaters are making some people sick -- literally.

It's not the alien creatures bleeding off the screen or half-eaten humans spit out in your direction by fierce dragons. It's just the way 3-D plays tricks on your brain, mimicking symptoms of motion sickness.

The problem, if you have one, may lie in your head and, in particular, your eyes, experts note.

I really thought I was crazy when I said that the 3-D movie I just went to see wore me out. I saw Alice In Wonderland a few weeks ago and I was very excited to see what it would look like. Half way through the movie I was suddenly very tired, well not actually sleepy, but my lids were very heavy.

K-joy: when you take over, I'd really like to just play guitar, read, explore any unknown regions left to the world, have a few beers, get a workout in, play basketball, have a few get togethers, cook some good food, and chillax...cool?

I have no idea what this conversation is about but if K-joy takes over I want to be on a Bahama beach sipping Jim Bean on the rocks while some beautiful girls are rubbing me down with sun lotion. If K-Joy could arraign this I would be in eternal Blisse and debt to her

Oh yes, me. At 39! Long after I thought I'd never have kids--then again, my husband and I were indeed trying--he said: "Don't you want us to leave a better part of us on this Earth?" To be honest, good argument. Still, not sure this Earth is good enough for my son.

Nonetheless... This is life's way of laughing at my ass.... *as if to say: "Gotcha!"*

Peter I find 1/4 to 1/2 a cup of bourbon will silence the kiddos for a while..

Par: Hey, I like my bourbon--so it's not to be shared with the kiddies... *LOL* :)

Man, I hope at 59, he will be on the PGA tour, supporting his mother! *LMAO!* (see, that's my husband's fault--honest!!)

PS. I blame everything on my husband. He's a great scapegoat!

Did anyone see Clover Field, it was not in 3D but theaters were still advising people who get sea sick to take their sea sickness pills before watching the movie.

It seems you went to the same training center my wife did.. It was a seminar she went to.. "No matter what - Husbands fault" I am finally getting around to redoing a small bathroom that I had put off for years..more than 8.. Husbands usually go to a seminar too.. it is call "Yes I will get to it soon" and that is followed up by "This weekend I promise" I have about 5/6 things going on at once.. that comes out of the seminar "Confusion is your best pal"

I haven't been correct since the day I said "I Do"

A cheap scotch will do in place of bourbon..

I liked that movie...i can see how people could get motion sickness from a movie like that though-so much running around with camcorders! Blair Witch made me sick-not from motion mind you...just from the poor storyline and dialogue, lol...

lmao - yes.. I did that with all my kids while I baby sat and my wife was at work.. I also found, that if you tie them up, gag them and I.V. fed them until they are 18.. It works the best.. just the only problem is.. if you do not home school them.. they end up being a republican in congress.

I was actually entirely too disappointed when I went to see a movie that I was excited to actually go see in 3D--Clash of the Titans.

What a complete and disappointing exercise in attempting to like a movie that felt like watching a mudpile come at you. From what I understand, it was converted to 3D in post production. The result? An amazingly bad 3D effect that ruins the movie as a whole. And don't even get me started on the eye-strain. Just horrendous.

If I can say something good about this film is this: Skip it and save the $15 (including 3D glasses up here) or more, elsewhere!

One thing about me.. the economy would be lost if it depended upon me to jump start it.. The last movie I saw was at least 30 years ago in a theater.. I can wait for the movie on television.. as for 3-D.. it doesn't tempt me at all .. We live life in 3-D and more..

I was a cheap date.. I am still...

A good old ice tea would do for me.. I stopped drinking many decades ago.. I was too much of a "happy frisky drunk" .. If I cannot remember having fun.. then it serves no purpose to drink... ;)

I would be happy with a piece of sharp cheddar on a ritz..
