A federal indictment charging Yem Nguyen, age 35, of Eagan, with possessing and distributing more than 350 images of child pornography has been unsealed. The indictment, filed under seal in U.S. District Court in Minnesota on March 9, 2010, was unsealed today after Nguyen's initial appearance in federal court. The indictment alleges that on June 23, 2006, Nguyen knowingly distributed a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. In addition, Nguyen is charged with knowingly possessing similar images and videos on his computer on July 3, 2007.
