People tend to be uncomfortable in their own skin, that they create a problem or a change in others.

These same neighbors probably still cover their "sinful" piano legs so as not to be seen as "naked" by vulnerable children.

OK, the headline struck me funny -- aren't all snowmen (and snowwomen) naked anyhow? I mean, you put on a scarf and hat, but nothing else. The 'private parts' are uncovered...unless snowpeople procreate using their necks or the tops of their heads!

Belle - Hey!

It is one of the most ridiculous complaints from neighbors I have ever heard.

I went to the article. What if they had the Venus de Milo as a lawn ornament? Or David? Would these neighbors also complain?

I could see if it was sexually explicit.. the neighbors ought to have their own minds placed in check or analyze.. they are the ones with the 'thoughts'..

If it were me, I'd go out and buy a replicate of Venus de Milo and David and put them both on my front lawn. Life sized even.

Yeah, I'm THAT kinda girl.

That was a lovely snow sculpture and looked much nicer without the clothing. Just like the owner says, with cloths it really is sexualized. What a shame folks hate their own bodies so much they have to cover art too.

IF some young lady would pose for me.. I can create a duplicate right out on the front lawn...

I would have to take measurements as I create..

So what a snow sculpture that could be found in almost any public museum or gallery is offensive?

I think they did a great job on their sculpture. I don't see anything offensive about it.

I'd only be offended if they'd make a p-poor sculpture. This one is good!

Obviously, the neighbors are self important and don't have much of a life. They don't own the neighborhood, snow or air....duh!

Should of made a nude David sculpture that would of gotten people talking.

Wow, that is a pretty decent nude snow sculpture. The one time I made a snowwoman, we put gigantic breasts on her with nipples that probably protruded 3". It was in the front yard. Nobody ever complained.

Those neighbors are whiney bitches, it's not even that bad, closer to the Venus de Milo or whatever that statue is. What a load of crap

I almost spit out my pepsi when I saw the "after" picture! It's actually worse. Neighbors like the ones who called the police are also the one's I'm sure people are referring to with the old saying "good fences make good neighbors."
