REHOBOTH -- Jerry the Turkey, whose owners posted his plight on Craigslist to raise money for a cataract operation, is "doing as well as a turkey does," Lyndsey Medeiros said Thursday.
"He is doing really well, thriving in his environment, getting used to everything," she said of Jerry, a cross between a domestic and a wild turkey with some health issues related to his blindness. Lyndsey and her husband, Jason Medeiros, adopted Jerry before Thanksgiving and raised about $2,000 from at least 75 donors before she closed the Craigslist appeal.
