Son shoots up mother's pickup after she refused to let him use it

DELAND -- A Deltona teen angry because his mother would not lend him her truck shot it up and then went to bed, sheriff's investigators said.

Adan Lopez, 19, who is unemployed, also used a car battery and a beer bottle early Saturday to damage the hood of his mother's pickup parked in the driveway, deputies said. Lopez was charged with using a firearm during a felony, resisting an officer without violence and possession of marijuana.
