The other night Karl Rove was talking with Greta Van Susteren about the Sarah Palin phenomenon and her record-breaking book sales of "Going Rogue." He says he's started the book, finds it a very good read, is impressed by her crowds (4,000 at Ft. Bragg) and its sales nearly exceeding an ex-president's book, Bill Clinton's, written post-presidency.

Palin has got to learn to pivot off of the misbehaving son-in-law and other soap opera questions because the media wants to keep her on the cover of "People" magazine, not talking about serious issues.

Who knew Rove was a comedian as well?

Palin's interview with Katie "The Hammer" Couric revealed Palin's grasp of "serious issues".

But please, by all means Mr. Rove & other Palin supporters, put her in front of a genuine reporter for a full length, in depth, no holds barred interview. If she's really made up of the stuff she talks about being made of (traditional, common-sense, pure American values), she has absolutely nothing to hide.

Charnello - I agree.. without the agreements prior to air time of what they will and will not cover.. she would be lost in space.... I would like to see her and bachmann run.

Man, I'ed love to see those "full and in-debth" interviews but sad to say it ain't gonna happen unless S.P. gets the nomination. Until then all she is is a "talking head."

Karl "Rasputin" Rove speaks!

Here is a synopsis of Palin's little journey into national politics...

Chapter 1

See Sarah. See Sarah run. Run, Sarah run!

Chapter 2

See Sarah. See Sarah lie to her constituency. See Sarah use her children to promote a personal and political agenda. See Sarah stumble during network interviews and the VPOTUS debate. See Sarah lose the election.

Chapter 3

See Sarah try to convince Alaskans that she's not a quitter, that's why she's quitting. See Sarah use McCain's gift of celebrity status to make a fast buck. See Sarah demonstrate her superficial understanding of complex issues with every public utterance.

Chapter 4

See Sarah. See Sarah want to run again. See the RNC tell Sarah, "No, Sarah, No!" and the DNC shout "Yes, Sarah, Yes!"

Chapter 5

See Sarah pursue her new career in news broadcasting -- delivering the weather forecast for a local Alaskan TV station. "Today, Anchorage.......it will be COLD. (Brrrrrrrrr!) Tomorrow, it will be COLDER, doggone it. (Brrrrrrrrrrr!) Back to you, Frank."

---------

I'm personally looking forward to Palin's next book: Going Gas Range -- 101 Moose Meals, from Tundra to Table.

Unlike her first effort, this one will be non-fiction.

The more Rove speaks, the more I wonder if he isn't a Manchurian sleeper programmed by the former KGB to undermine America.

“I don't see Dick Cheney's leadership in running a construction and oil service company to be a problem at all when compared to this administration's failure to have a comprehensive energy policy,”

A quote from Rove

Karl Bar Sinister Rove bears watching. Far more dangerous than the demagogues of the right, Rove is a real intellect. If you consider Machiavellian cunning and ruthlessness as intellectual pursuits he is at the Top of the Ticket. Karl is a study in how much harm one frustrated outcast nerd can harm a great nation.

I don't give Rove that much credit as far as being intellectual. He is a dirty player and the rest of his rep is just BS from the Republicans and the media, IMO. Look, what Rove could do was limited to the times and I think the nation is hip to his old tactics and is moving on to a different time. Rove used dirty tricks, alliannes, and propaganda in the media to promote a dualistic view of America.

Now the views in the people who voted for Reps back then are anything but dualistic.

(I just finshed standing a 48 hour duty shift, so I'm feeling a bit snarky.)

I would love to see Palin run if for nothing else than so I could pitch my idea for a campaign commercial.

Very short, to the point. Start with a clip of Hillary talking about the importance of the three am phone call.

Cut to Sarah getting pranked by canadian radio announcers making her think for almost 7 minutes that she was talking to the French President, President Sarkozy. Choose more memorable moments from that clip, end with her asking 'Oh we've been pranked ?'

Fade to black with the simple message "Why should we trust someone to answer the most important phone in the world at 3 am if they can't even tell who's on the other end ?

( I think of some crazy stuff while I'm on duty, and a double shift makes it even worse.)

Karl Rove did a great job with the Bush campaigns. That hail mary even surpassed Doug Flutie's. Karl's pathetic little writing career at the Wall Street Journal's a big laugh. I don't believe anyone can revive the Palin political disaster. I would love to see Sarah nominated again, but if that's the best Republicans have, it's going to be a long cold winter for years to come.
