BOSTON (AP) ― It will soon be the season for holiday decorations, but state officials are urging homeowners to avoid hanging any wreaths or garland that may include invasive plant species.

Commissioner Scott Soares of the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources says invasive plants pose a threat to the "native biodiversity" in the state.
