Congressman to fight for night plane ban

Two San Fernando Valley congressmen vowed Tuesday to fight the FAA's refusal to ban nighttime flights at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, where residents have been complaining for decades about jet noise.

The Federal Aviation Administration's 42-page ruling, dated Friday, said that banning commercial, cargo and charter flights between 10 a.m. and 6:59 a.m. would unduly burden commerce and would impact air travel throughout the country.
