I've been meaning to pull my credit reports. I, like so many others, am concerned about identity theft or uncorrected errors. When I finally got around to checking my reports, I knew to go to www.annualcreditreport.com. I have not been fooled by those clever commercials for freecreditreport.com with the goofy guy playing a guitar complaining about how his life is messed up because he didn't check his credit report.

This is the real site for your free credit report.
While we're sharing, heres the number for the national Do Not Call registry. This is the one for taking your phone number off sales call lists.
I have these as well as other useful, interesting and fun tidbits listed here on the vine on this old article's comments.
I'm sure I saved this for a reason. Par4thecourse, not trying to hijack, just sharing. If you want to delete this, go ahead, no hard feelings. :)

Par, I went to this website and put ALL my numbers on the "do not call" list, but I still got those "car warranty" calls. How annoying!!

It takes a month or so I think to allow your number to be fully integrated into the system.
