Judge can't skip court date for drunken-driving sentence (Alaska)

An Anchorage Superior Court judge accused of drunken driving must appear in court to be sentenced, another judge ruled today.

Anchorage Judge Patrick McKay was preparing to take the bench in the Nesbett Courthouse to hear civil matters on Friday morning just as a status hearing on the criminal case against him was taking place across the street at the Boney Courthouse.
